5 things: A Summer Update Wishlist

Hi everyone! You might remember I started a little series called ‘5 things’  which is a curated list of the things I am loving at the moment (see my 5 things: spring/summer accessories post here). Today I wanted to share a summer update wishlist with you, featuring 5 things I have my eye on (and may have already purchased by the time this goes up!)

1 NARS Laguna Liquid Bronzer £27.50 / I love that you can use a liquid bronzer in place of a standard one or you can just add a drop or two to your base to boost the colour. I’ve had my eye on this one for a while and having tried the Perricone No Bronzer Bronzer (which is brilliant for super pale skin) I’d love to add this one to my collection for the summer months.

2 Reclaimed Vintage Embroidered Bag £45 / I’ve got myself into a bit on a monochrome rut recently and have a bit of a phobia now of wearing bold colours! I have decided to inject a bit of colour to my summer wardrobe with accessories and this bag really stood out to me. I think it’s the embroidered detailing and that it’s fairly big for a cross body bag. Oh and quite simply, it makes me smile when I look at it, that’s a good reason to buy something right?

3 L’occitane Precious Light Cream SPF 20 £48 / I’ve been looking for a day cream with a decent spf in it for ages but I hate heavy creams for the day so this sounds ideal. It claims to prevent sun damage and improve the smoothness and texture of the skin too which definitely sold me on it. I’m a big fan of the almond shower oil and hand creams from L’occitane so I think I might pop in and try this out in store to see what I think!

4 Bill Skinner Floral Bee Ring £20 / This is a sentence I never thought I would write: I have a bit of a thing for bugs at the moment! In truth it’s just bees and dragonflies but I am obsessed! When I saw this ring it went straight in my saved basket on ASOS ready for payday. I am a big fan of costume jewellery, especially when it’s a bit whimsical so this fits the bill perfectly.

5 Jack Wills Plymstock Waisted Shirt £29 / Being quite big chested I find I need a shirt that nips me in at the waist to prevent it from looking frumpy. When I saw this beauty I was instantly smitten. I love the waist detailing and the gorgeous broderie anglaise fabric which has a slightly bohemian feel to it. Being quite cropped, it is very flattering for my shape and I can imagine this being a summer/festival staple that’ll take me straight into Autumn.
