Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil Review: Love My Pink

I had such great feedback about the ‘Perfect Nude’ version of this maybelline color drama intense velvet lip pencil (review here) and you seemed keen to see the rest of the shade range so I thought I would do one for each of them! Today’s review is of the ‘Love My Pink’ shade, a true bubblegum pink but I would say it’s more yellow toned than blue toned and as such it works quite well for my skin tone (usually pinks bring out the pink in my skin)!

This shade is definitely more creamy than the ‘Perfect Nude’ velvet lip pencil, it’s really beautiful to apply and doesn’t cling to dry patches or ‘sit’ on the lips. I was shocked at the lasting power of this one, I would say this lasted around 5/6 hours on me before I wanted to top it up and to be honest it left such a beautiful pinky stain on my lips I could have just left it as it was! Saying that, it was no bother to touch up even on the go, it’s a pencil shaped lipstick which makes applying even a bold lip colour like this a doddle! If your looking for a bright pink (perfect for spring!) than I would definitely recommend this shade, it just brightens your whole complexion and really adds a beautiful pop of colour!
