Max Factor Colour Corrector Stick / Yellow Under Eye

26/01/2015 · beauty · 0

I spotted this Max Factor Colour Corrector Stick in Boots and suffering with dark circles I grabbed one straight away! This is a stick formulation but it is quite moisturising- something that worried me as I do find stick concealers to be quite hard to ‘set’ under the eyes and they usually end up moving and settling in fine lines (NOT what you want!) This was very easy to blend and felt really moisturising under the eyes but it also stayed put, it didn’t require too much effort to ‘buff’ it into the under eye area and left the whole area looking much brighter and more even. I used it as a base for my normal concealer and together they erased my dark circles completely, once I set this combo with my MAC studio fix and it didn’t budge all day!

I reach for this whenever my eyes look a little too tired and I really enjoy using it, in fact I am considering picking up a few of the other ones from the range (let me know if you’ve tried them!) If you suffer with dark circles then I would 100% recommend this, especially for pale skinned girls as it was quite easy to blend it and it really brightened up the eye area. I do wonder how effective this would be on darker skin-tones though, even for my pale skin it was quite light in terms of finish so it might be one to test out instore first! I *believe* there is a peach version being launched around now which would be much more suited to darker skintones and also works well to even out dark circles!

The Max Factor Colour Corrector Stick costs £8.99 each and is available here.

I’ve not tried any of these corrector sticks before! It really does help brighten your eye area! I’d definitely try one of these, but I think I’d be the same as you and would be using it as a base for my concealer to sit on 🙂

I *think* that’s what you’re meant to do because it’s quite pale and yellow and would look a bit strange left on it’s own! well that’s just one me though lol xx

These sounds like a God send! I have such blotchy red skin and my foundation and concealer wears off patches so quickly. I think I need to pick up one of these to see if it can help me out!
