MAC Look In A Box: All About Beige

I picked up this handy little palette in Selfridges and just had to share it with you! As the title describes these are MAC’s ‘look in a box’ palettes and each one consists of 2 blushers, 2 lipsticks and 6 eyeshadows alongside a duo-handled brush for lips and eyes. They come in a few variations and I picked the ‘all about beige’ one which is comprised of:

2 x Lipsticks: What’s Haute? (a pinky nude) and Modern Wow! ( a milky coral) both are ‘Amplified’ finishes.

2 x Powder Blushers: Love and Laughter (a clean coral with pearl) and Liberating (a soft tan with pearl) both are ‘Satin’ finishes.

6 x Eyeshadows: Light Study (Soft Matte Peach- the only dud in the palette), Honesty (Pewtered Bronze: Lustre finish), Sable Riche ( a Mid-tone Brown with Copper Pearl : Frost finish), Rocketgirl (Mid-tone Copper: Satin finish), Plum Ember (Burnt Brown with Pearl: Satin Finish), Cocktail Black (Dirty Grey-Brown with Pearl: Frost finish).

This is just such a beautiful little kit and so well thought out, I love every single product (bar the white shadow!)  and was especially pleased to see a coral lip option as bronze/beige eyes and coral lips is my go-to look! There are some really nice little touches too like the full sized mirror and sturdy packaging making it ideal to travel with, they even put a little plastic screen over the lip colours so they don’t smudge in the palette. The eyeshadow brush is quite good for a palette brush (most of which are pretty rubbish!) it’s very soft and blends out darker shades real well. I don’t actually use lip brushes but the lip brush looks pretty standard!

As far as I can see this one is sold out online (in the U.K) but it would definitely be worth checking your local counters for one- I think it’d make the perfect gift for Christmas or even just a great introduction to MAC if you haven’t tried many products from them before!
