Today I wanted to share my new go-to lip colour for this awkward in-between seasons time of year! The lip colour in question is one of the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets in the shade Nude-ist which is one of two new shades that have launched within the range. I think the name is a bit mis-leading- this is a pink and a really beautiful one at that! The shade reminds me a lot of the whole 90’s trend of almost brown toned pinks- this one is very similar to my natural lip colour but has a little bit more pink in it which just gives me that ‘pop’ of colour which is perfect for this time of year.
As always with the rouge edition velvets the staying power is excellent, the finish is matte but not drying and it is full opaque in one swipe- although it does look a little more pink when you apply a second coat. If you are in the market for a beautiful brown-pink lip colour with great lasting power then this should definitely be on your shopping list- I can’t stop wearing it and the matte finish is great if you’ve always wanted to try out a matte but usually find them too drying!
