Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade

18/09/2014 · Uncategorised · 0

anastasia dipbrow pomade swatchesA few months ago I ran out of my favourite eyebrow powder ( HD brows for future reference! ) and I decided I would trial out a few other eyebrow products to see if I could find another one I loved as much. I had hear a lot about the dipbrow pomade from Anastasia and nearly all of it was good so I placed an order and have been using the pomade for about 2 months now.

First impressions of the product itself were very positive, I love the packaging and even though its a dinky pot you need very little of the product so it will last absolutely ages. I got the shade ‘Dark Brown’ and it is a really good match for me, it’s quite a cool toned brown which works very well for my skin tone and keeps it looking quite natural. The product is like a gel liner, sort of a waxy powder if that makes sense?! as such it can be a little tricky getting used to it. When I first tried it out I didn’t like it at all, it looked way too heavy and just didn’t ‘sit’ right.

anastasia dipbrow pomadeAfter some serious trial and error though I have fallen in love! It manages to give my eyebrows a little bit of polish, filling in the gaps and creating a really groomed brow look without being too much. I found that the best way to apply the product was to take it slow, use a very tiny amount working your way back to front (arch to end of brow first then filling in the beginning of the brow). I also found soft eyebrow brushes just didn’t work well at all- they picked up way too much product, I use the Bobbi Brown eyebrow brush which is a bit coarse and just perfect for really working the product in and preventing you from using too much. (I’ve heard the ‘#12 brush from the range is really good too- I might try it out!)

So would I repurchase? Most definitely, I find that I can use a bit more product for ultra groomed brows (nights out etc) and also tone it down just to fill in the gaps for a natural day look, once you get the hang of it you’ll be hooked!

Ooh I love this, it’s given you such dark defined brows without it looking to filled in or fake! I’ve heard so much about this, I really want it.
