Maybelline Superstay Lipstick: Lasting Chestnut

21/01/2014 · beauty · 0

Check out my other Superstay Lipstick reviews here!
I wanted to share with you another one of the Maybelline Superstay Lipsticks that I have purchased! I love everything about this range, the formula is moisturising but not glossy, it sort of ‘sets’ on the lips and then doesn’t budge for a good 6 hours, and the colour range is just perfect (although if they bring more out I am sure I will be purchasing a few!) This shade is called Lasting Chestnut which is the darkest from the nude spectrum of the range. I think lasting chestnut is a perfect name as this is a warm, almost reddy brown which looks absolutely beautiful on. If you are pale you will especially like this shade as it lets you try out a nude without looking washed out!
It reminds me of that 90’s supermodel look, really polished and glossy, and everytime I wear it I feel like a ‘proper’ grown up! This shade is a real departure from my usual lip colours but I love wearing it, I feel like it warms up my complexion and if I’m wearing my hair up (read: when I haven’t had time to wash it!) this just gives my look a bit more polish. Another rave review from me I know but these are such lovely lipsticks and I’ve yet to find a shade I don’t like.
The Maybelline Superstay Lipsticks cost £5.49 and you can buy them here.

I love the look of this range but I think that this shade would be too brown for my tastes! x
