FOTD 11

13/12/2013 · beauty · 0

Hi girlies, I’ve not done a FOTD for agggges so that’s what I thought I would do today 🙂 I went a bit all out on my eyes as I fancied a change from my usual day eye look and I really enjoyed using some more A/W berry tones! Here’s what I used:
Primer: Nivea Express Hydration Primer (link)This is a great primer if your skin is feeling a bit dry or your using a foundation that is quite drying (like a mousse one). It feels like a light cream/gel and sinks into the skin instantly so it’s great for when you haven’t got a lot of time to do your makeup. Oh and it’s only £3.99!
Foundation: Max Factor Whipped Creme Foundation (link) I have fallen even more in love with this foundation and am about to repurchase it which isn’t something I do often with base! I just love the whipped texture, the medium/full coverage and the matte but luminous finish. It is up there with NARS sheer glow as one of my holy grail foundations and I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a new one!
Powder: Benefit Hello Flawless Powder (link) Technically this is a powder foundation but I like to use it as a setting powder for a flawless finish. It blurs out pores and imperfections and is the best powder I have ever tried. You only need a tiny amount too as this one looks better used sparingly unless you like that full on airbrushed/flawless look! I reviewed this when I first started blogging and it’s been one of the only products I consistently repurchase, I am going to be re doing the post so look out for that in the next few weeks!
Blusher (and lips):  Stila Convertible Cheek Colour in Petunia (link) These blush/lip colours are a bit of a cult favourite amongst bloggers and I totally get why, they have a great consistency which means once you apply the colour lasts all day, this shade is my favourite because it’s quite a cool toned pink which suits my complexion (fyi I am also wearing it on my lips for a hint of colour)
Eyeshadow: MAC Star Violet (link) I only blogged about this yesterday but this beautiful purple/pink eyeshadow is fast becoming my A/W staple eyeshadow! I love the duo-chrome feel of it, the way it warms my complexion and also that it is a pink you can easily wear without looking like you have sore eyes!
Liner: Topshop Kohl Eyeliner in Coal (link) I have to say this isn’t the best eyeliner (as you can see!) but I wanted to be honest and show you it after I had worn it for the afternoon. The colour is amazing, very intensely pigmented and creamy but unfortunately the lasting power isn’t so good. If you have any recommendations of long lasting black kohls for me then pleeeeease let me know, it’s the bane of my life!
Mascara: Maybelline The Rocket Mascara (link) I hadn’t reached for this in a while so I decided to try it out again and I have fallen back in love with it, it makes my lashes MASSIVE, full of volume and with no clumps. Theres not much more I can say about it, Maybelline really do know their mascaras!
So there you have it my FOTD #11! I’d love to see your FOTD posts too so be sure to leave me your links!

Love the look! And my favourite long lasting black kohl liner is the Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Liner- it is so long lasting and creamy!
