What I’ve Been Buying #3

14/05/2013 · beauty · 0

Hello girlies how has you beginning of the week been? I am pretty sure it is exam time so if your in the middle/just about to start exams then I am sending you lots of positive vibes! Today I thought I would show you a couple of the things I have picked up beauty wise. I am always picking bits up in Boots or Superdrug, seriously the staff here in Canterbury actually say hello to me now like we are old friends (how embarrassing is that?!) So here is what I picked up on my most recent shopping trip:
1. Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in ‘Womenswear’
This is a really pretty peachy pink shade which has a frosted finish but feels quite matte on the lips. I would say it is a great in choice if your not a fan of shimmery or overly matte lipsticks, this sits somewhere between the two and it is a really beautiful ‘your lip colour but better’ shade.
2.Collection Lasting Gel Colour Nail Polish in Soft Peach
There are a ton of different shades available in the new Collection Lasting Gel Colour range. (Seriously am I the only one still calling it Collection 2000?!) There wasn’t many available in my local store, actually the display was all but sold out but this shade caught my eye, it is a true peach leaning more towards orange than pink it also has a slightly shimmery finish which I think will be perfect for summer!
3. Sleek Lip4 Palette in Siren
I read a couple of bad reviews about these Lip4 palettes but after a swatch in store I was really taken with the siren version. 4 Orange shades with 4 different finishes, each one is beautiful, versatile and personally I was really pleased with it! I know I will be taking it away with me, the colours are just perfect for a holiday.
4. MUA Nail Polishes
These little Essie dupes are only £1 and I just loved the shades, I have been after a sky blue forever and this one looks just perfect. I got a dusky pink and a bright pink too and this really unusual white/lilac which is another ‘perfect with a tan’ buy!
5. Look Beauty Lip Smoothie Lip Scrub
I spotted this on the Look Beauty stand and as my beloved Lush Lip Scrub has run out I thought I would give it a try. It is quite similar to the Lush versions except it is in much more user friendly packaging. I will be popping a full review up soon but so far so good, definitely a contender for ‘best lip scrub 2013’ (do you like how I just made up my own award there?)
6. Neutrogena Unscented Hand Cream
Finally, a boring but necessary purchase. I have this terrible terrible habit which being a beauty blogger means I should be hanging my head in shame! I am a nail biter…actually it’s worse than that I am a skin around the nail picker AND nail biter. I know it is a gross habit and I always always end up regretting it when my fingers are all cut and sore. It is a nerves thing and if you ever meet me you will know I am nervous if I bite my nails or twirl my hair! Anyway after a particular nasty week of nail biting I needed something to soothe my poor nail beds and I picked this unscented hand cream up. So far I have really enjoyed using it, my nails are almost ‘fixed’ after just 3 days of usage. The only negative I have found is that the product is quite rich so not really one for using at your desk!

So a mini haul this time, I have already picked up some more new bits and I will be popping some reviews up this week alongside a Game of Thrones inspired makeup tutorial!
