Topshop Lip Cream: Witty

21/04/2013 · beauty · 0

I’m gonna go ahead and start this post by letting you know I had really high hopes for this one but was so disappointed! I was swatching the lip creams in Topshop and as this one seemed to have the best payoff (and it happened to be my favourite peachy colour!) I thought I would pick it up. I have been looking for some easy to wear day lip colours and on first impression this one seemed to fit the bill quite nicely. However after trying it on I was shocked at the quality, it felt really suffocating on the lips and even after removing it my lips still felt weird, sort of a clogged up feeling if that makes sense?! More than that it just wouldn’t apply smoothly and gave a really patchy effect, coupled with it picking up any flaws this is definitely the most disappointing product I’ve tried from the Topshop make up range. I had a look on the website and it seems another girl thought the same so I don’t think mine was just a bad one, I should say that after some blending the colour does look lovely so it is such a shame that it didn’t translate in the finish 🙁

Sorry for such a negative review but as these are quite pricey I thought it would be a good thing for you to know before purchasing as I wish I hadn’t wasted £7 on this one :(( On a more positive note I have been secretly organising a giveaway box full of my absolute favourite products, more on that next week…
Do you have any lip cream recommendations for me?
Are there any products that have disappointed you recently?
Let me know!
