Home Design: Amara.com

I wanted to show you some looks I have been pulling together for my big house move. Now I am lucky enough to be getting my own floor which (eventually) will have a seperate living room and bedroom/office area and also an en suite bathroom. I wanted to go with a really bright and cheerful theme, in my mind I have white walls and I am thinking about buying this white paint that has a slight sheen to it to give the impression of space and light in the room. I keep flitting between ‘new york loft apartment’ and something a tad more modern. These are the two designs I have come up with so far using the gorgeous Amara.com as my inspiration! I love pretty much everything on their website and really like the idea of incorporating some designer pieces for a high fashion feel. They stock brands such as Chilewich, Lexington, Ruark Audio, Hugo Boss & Riedel. Lexington bedding has been on my wishlist for a while now since I saw a gorgeous display of it, I just wanted to dive into the bed it looked so cosy and crisp!

There were a few stand out pieces for me, I just had to include a bean to cup coffee machine, this is something I am definitely investing in, I will be working from home and I have decided to start spending a little more money on better quality coffee so this will be perfect for me. I have also added this adorable fish mat for my cat’s bowl, he has this habit of taking his food out of the bowl and plopping it onto the floor which is so annoying, this mat will be perfect for him! The Harry Potter print is just amazing, I have seen these before but with other authors/books, like most of you Harry Potter was just such a big part of my childhood, as was reading (and it still is!) so this is a beautiful way to incorporate it into my office space!
