What Lush says:
Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter
Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter £6.25
I have a confession….I am a nail biter. Actually that’s not the whole confession, I am a skin around the nail biter, and I know it is gross and a horrible habit but I can’t stop myself! Whenever I am stressed I find myself gnawing at my fingers until they literally bleed. It drives everyone around me mad and I always regret it when my fingers look all rubbish and are really sore! I rely solely on my number 1 hand product of all time to help heal the mess I make of my nails on a daily basis….the Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter!
We have put almost every oil and butter from our store cupboard into this little pot, making the softest thickest cream we could to make sure those stubborn bits surrender. Check out the ingredients list, because there are too many to fit into this little write-up! To make you feel good about having nasty dry bits, we’ve put a zingy uplifting lemon fragrance in this, which leaves you unable to stop sniffing yourself. When you run out of dry bits to treat, you’ll be looking for excuses to keep using this beautiful cream. This cream is made to a very old-fashioned, traditional formula. It is a beeswax emulsion and uses thick oils and butters and very little water all skilfully put together. It is the lost art of traditional cream making – and we think it gives a high quality cream that makes the oils easily available for the skin to take up. Sometimes it is wise to take lessons from history.
I read some of the reviews of this cream and was relieved to see there are other nail biters who also rely on this miracle product! I say miracle product because it really does make a huge difference in the appearance of my nails and cuticles. I smother my hands with this and then massage it into the cuticles before popping on some moisturising gloves. I leave it on overnight and when I wake up the cuts around my fingers and the sore cuticles are almost completely healed, my hands feel like silk and my (fairly little!) nails look nice and shiny. I have been using this for about 4 months and I have to say it really is as good as people say it is, I have used it on dry elbows, as an overnight foot cream and even got my Dad into using it! It smells great too like freshly squeezed lemons and I think it is totally reasonable at just £6.25 for a 50g tub, you only need the tiniest amount as it is packed full of oils. Like I said I have had mine for 4 months and only used about half the tub!
Have you tried the Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter?
If you have any tips/tricks to control my horrible habit let me know!
