5 Signs It’s Time To Call A Plumber

19/12/2021 · charlotte evans · 0

Fixing plumbing issues is not only one of the crucial steps you may need to take to fix an old house; it’s also a great way to keep yourself warm this winter! While it can be tempting to postpone repairs and renovations (especially if you’re on a strict budget), ignoring plumbing issues won’t make them disappear. In fact, it could cause them to get much worse!

With that in mind, here are five signs it’s time to call a plumber.

You have no running water

There are many different reasons why you don’t have running water. For example, it may be that a pipe within your home has burst, prohibiting the proper flow of water throughout the space. Alternatively, it could be that external or buried pipes, such as those that provide water to the entire street, have become damaged. As a result, if you have no running water within your home, you should call a plumber as soon as possible.

Your drains are blocked

Blocked drains are probably the most common plumbing issue within the home. As there are various different causes, you must reach out to Blocked Drains Plumbers as soon as you notice signs of blockage. This is particularly important if the blocked drains were caused by waste entering the pipes, as this could lead to unpleasant smells. Furthemore, the more blocked a drain becomes, the more likely it is to burst.

You have a leaking tap

Leaking taps can be incredibly annoying – especially when you have to listen to the sound of constant dripping. However, as we’re also encouraged to be less wasteful with water at home, you must fix this tap as soon as possible. This is particularly important when you consider that the more the tap leaks, the higher your water bill will be! Thankfully, this is a relatively straightforward issue and can usually be resolved in just a matter of minutes.

You can’t identify the source of a leak

There are various different factors that signify there is a leak within your home. For example, this could include water damage appearing on the walls or floors. However, on some occasions, if these leaks are caused by internal pipes, it can be hard to identify the direct source of the leak. In these cases, you must reach out to a plumber who will have the proper equipment at hand to find and identify leaks without having to tear your home down in the process.

You want peace of mind

There are many different stressors associated with being a homeowner – and we often feel significantly more stressed when we need to carry out home renovations. This is because they can be both costly and time-consuming. However, you can save yourself a great deal of time, energy and effort by reaching out to an expert and having them do the work for you. This is particularly useful if you think there is a plumbing issue within your home, but you aren’t exactly sure what the problem is.
