vichy idealia peeling

Vichy Idealia Peeling

19/04/2017 · beauty · 0

So I have been making a real effort to up my skincare game recently (well since turning the dreaded 3-0 to be honest) because I’ve found that as I am getting older, my skin is feeling a lot drier and generally looking a bit dull. On my quest for youthful looking skin I’ve been trialling the new Vichy Idealia Peeling. It falls into the liquid exfoliator/acid toner category and contains 4% Glycolic Acid and 5% Hepes. It also contains Blueberry Polyphenol and fermented Black Tea which are supposed to work to restore your skins natural glow whilst you sleep.

You apply the liquid on a cotton pad after cleansing and then follow with your usual pm skincare. It has the same consistency as most toners I’ve used and feels really refreshing on the skin. I have found that my serums and moisturisers seem to sink in better when I’ve use this first and when I wake up my skin looks brighter and has a beautiful glow. I have also found that the texture of my skin has improved massively which means my base applies much more evenly (and I am using less of it now)

My big problem area is my nose, it seems to get dry really easily but if I apply too many moisturisers/serums I break out. Using the Idealia Peeling has left my nose feel soft and looking really clear which has really helped with my confidence, it’s silly that something so simple can get you down but this has always been a bit of an insecurity of mine!

This is a really gentle exfoliating treatment so it’s perfect if you have sensitive skin (think of it as a gentler version of the Pixi Glow Tonic) but don’t let that deter you, it gives amazing results and I found when I left it out of my skincare regime for around a week my skin looked quite dull and as soon as I started using it again I could really see the difference.

If acid toners/liquid exfoliators have always scared you or you’ve had issues with reactions to stronger products before then I’d definitely recommend giving this a try, it’s now a staple in my skincare regime and I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out (although the beautiful glass bottle is huge so that won’t be for a long while yet!)

The Vichy Idealia Peeling costs £30 and is available in Boots and on the Vichy website.

This sounds like a great toner for anyone with sensitive skin, I find the Glow Tonic pretty gentle in itself so I don’t see myself getting this one as it is more expensive, thanks for sharing. Great review x

I have sensitive and oily skin so I think the peeling exfoliator would be ideal for my skin, especially around the T Zone x

Since turning 30 a few years ago I have found out that my skin is really temperamental and requires a lot of care. I love Vichy products and the Idealia products are brilliant!
