Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette

Today I wanted to share with you the new Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette. It’s a bit of a mixed review so I will get straight to it! The Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette joins the 2 other eyeshadow palettes in the collection (The Smokes and The Nudes) and it’s quite different from both of these palettes offering more pink and warm toned bronze shades. Purely on colour range this is my favourite of the 3 palettes, it is predominately warm/pink toned eyeshadows but there are deep cranberries, dark browns and golden browns too that make it very wearable.

maybelline the blushed nudes palette swatchesNow I have tried to photograph swatches of the top row but to be honest the pale shades are quite poor in terms of payoff, they feel quite chalky with a fair bit of fall out, the top row is saved by the last two colours, a beautiful brown toned pink which is matte and completely different to any shadow I own, and the beautiful bronze which although slightly chalky blends beautifully.

The bottom row however is one of my favourite collection of colours from any palette I’ve tried! The payoff is superb, each swatch shown was one swipe on the arm, they are buttery soft (with the teensiest bit of fall out) and blend beautifully, really complimenting each other. I am particularly in love with the cranberry which reminds me a lot of MAC’s cranberry, the grey toned green shade and the dark brown black with little flecks of glitter, it’s perfect for a festive smokey eye!the blushed nudes palette review and swatchesTo look at this palette, it might seem more Spring appropriate but swatched out the shades are very wearable for all year round and it definitely works for Winter, with some deep brown-blacks, cranberries and gorgeous bronzes. Had the formulation on the first row been better I think this could have been my stand out palette of the year, that’s easily made up for by the other gorgeous shades though. I would definitely still recommend the palette, perhaps if you have oily eyelids you might need to think about using a good primer because the fall out could indicate the colours might wear off easily during the day, for me personally they remained crease free and vibrant after a full day out and about. But for just under £10 this is a great palette for all year around and it’s made it’s way into my everyday makeup bag!

The Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette (and the other 2 in the collection) are available here. They code £9.99 each and are currently on 3 for 2 so you can grab all three for just under £20 which would make a lovely Christmas gift!

Let me know if you’d like to see me try out some of the shadows with a festive smokey eye tutorial?

Have you tried the Maybelline palettes? Are you a fan? Let me know!

I really wish I wore eyeshadow so that I could get into the palettes craze. I just don’t 🙁 I never know how to blend and create daytime looks, no matter how many tutorials I look at

Considering price even the pale shades aren’t too bad on the pigmentation level. This looks like a great affordable palette which is perfect for every day x

It’s such a shame that the top colours don’t have great payoff in terms of colour as I tend to wear more natural shades so the bottom ones might be a little dark x
