3 Perfect 2015 Moments

20/11/2015 · beauty · 0

Hi everyone! Now that we are hurtling towards December it occurred to me that 2016 is right around the corner. 2015 has been a real year of self-discovery and healing for me. I wanted to share 3 perfect 2015 moments that capture my year, I really hope you enjoy them and I’d love to know what have been your 3 perfect 2015 moments!

1. Lola and I3 perfect 2015 moments This was such a defining moment for me, Lola is my little rescue cat and he has always really struggled with showing trust or affection. He was very badly abused and although he has always been playful and fun he only started to trust us fully this year. One day he climbed up onto my bed and snuggled in with me, before I knew it he placed his paw in my
hand and actually held onto my finger like a baby. It melted my heart and really showed me how far he has come from the flea bitten little orphan who turned up at our door begging for scraps all those years ago.

2. Making my Mum’s dreams come true3 perfect 2015 momentsFor as long as I can remember my Mum has been obsessed with Giraffes, I couldn’t quite stretch to a real safari (although I haven’t given up on that idea yet!) but I wanted to make her dreams come true so I found out about the London Zoo ‘meet and greet’ and booked her in for a Giraffe day for her birthday. It was such a beautiful day and as you can imagine I took about 500 pictures of her time with the Giraffes but this one is my favourite, it’s the pure joy on her face that just melts my heart, there is something just so special about seeing your Mum looking so happy.

3. Going home
This picture is symbolic of a whole year of me going home and getting back my London mojo. I was born and raised in London but after moving to Kent I felt a real disconnect with the city. I have spent the whole year re-visiting old haunts, finding new favourite places and falling back in love with my city again. This particular day was one of those perfect clear blue skies days. I had spent the afternoon at St Katherine’s Dock watching the boats and relaxing in the sunshine. I pottered over to the river and managed to grab a quiet moment outside the Tower Hotel, it was one of those moments where you just feel totally relaxed and truly happy. It reminded me how much I love going home and I am so happy I have reconnected with my city.

I snapped these on the go on my phone so excuse the quality! If you are looking to invest in a new camera for better on the go snaps then definitely check out this video for the Panasonic Lumix G7, the 4k technology is incredible and I would have loved to have had it when snapping the Giraffe pictures to get that amazing quality!

I’d love to know your 3 perfect 2015 moments, are you looking forward to 2016?

Let me know!
