MAC Patina Review and Swatches

15/02/2015 · beauty · 0

Today I wanted to share MAC Patina with you, it’s something I have been reaching for over and over recently and it is just such a beautiful and unique shade! MAC Patina is decribed as a dirty gold and I totally agree with that, it almost feels a bit like an antique muted gold and has the teeniest bit of an olive green running through it which gives it that ‘older’ gold finish.  I like to wear this shade all over the lid for a neutral daytime look. If it feels slightly too dark I pat a bit of spektra onto the middle of the lid to brighten things up and if I want to add more of a defined smokey eye finish I buff brown down into the crease.

The shade is so subtle that I can also take it along my lower lash line before applying lots of mascara. It is one I reach for most days and definitely worth investing in if you like neutral shades with a something a little bit special about them! I definitely think it’s one worth investing in, like I said I reach for it most days and haven’t found anything that is ‘dupe worthy’ for it yet, if you have though please do let me know! I have MAC Patina, Brown Down, Spektra and All That Glitters in my 1st everyday neutral palette (I have 2 4 pan palettes). Would a review of them be of interest? Let me know!

MAC Patina costs £10 (for the pan version £12 for the single shadow) and is available here.

This is such a pretty colour! I have the cool neutral eyeshadow palette but I don’t own any of their single shades. This is definitely one to put on the wishlist 🙂 xx

Looks very subtle and I don’t think £10/£13 is too bad a price if it’s worthwhile and gets used a lot.
