Maybelline Go Colossal Extreme: Leather Black

Hi girlies! Today I wanted to share with you a new addition to the Maybelline Go Colossal Extreme Mascara line: Leather Black. The Leather Black mascara boasts an extra volume shot, 20 x collagen (compared to the original) and the biggest brush yet! I was a big fan of the original Go Colossal and have enjoyed all the variations since so I had high hopes for this, and it didn’t disappoint!

Like to original this has a tiered wand with natural look bristles that make it really easy to get to build up volume and catch those corner lashes. The brush is slightly bigger than the original and I thought the bristles were more tightly packed which really helped to get that extra volume shot around the lash line. I think it does a fantastic job at lengthening the lashes too ( as does the original ) in fact I would say it was about the same in terms of lengthening ability. Colour wise this is definitely a stronger black than the original but somehow it doesn’t look too harsh. It holds the curl all day too and I didn’t have any under eye smudging.

Comparison wise- if you are looking for lots of volume I would say go for the Leather Black, if lengthening and defining is what you need then the original just pips this one!
