Hi girlies! I wanted to share with you some new (well new to me!) lipsticks from Collection. They are called the ‘deluxe’ lipsticks and are enriched with vitamin e and shea butter which makes them very moisturising on the lips and perfect if you suffer with dry skin! I was drawn to these purely based on the shade range, I loved the creamy toned pinks and the shimmery brown and as Boots had a 3 for 2 on I picked up three shades: ‘Tallulah’ a pretty baby pink, ‘Charleston’ a shimmer brown toned nude and ‘Speak Easy’ a bright but creamy hot pink.
All three have excellent colour pay-off, easily on par with high end lipsticks and not unlike MAC’s cremesheens, the formulas feel moisiturising on the lips but maybe a tad too ‘slippy’ which means they don’t have the best lasting power (around 1/2 hours), in fact I found the product itself just too soft- I imagine this is one you wouldn’t want to keep in your handbag on a hot day as it melts and gets messy pretty quickly! It’s such a shame that the formula isn’t quite right because these are a great way to inject a pop of colour without enhancing any dry patches!
I’d definitely recommend the lipsticks if you are suffering with dry lips and want to still be able to wear colour- I saw there were a couple of deep reds too which I think would look beautiful! Unfortunately I wouldn’t repurchase these purely based on the formula but if they improve that put me down for the whole range!
