I was in London for the day this week and after walking all over the city I needed a pit stop lunch somewhere, I headed straight to Shake Shack in Covent Garden which I believe is the only one in the U.K? I went for a classic cheeseburger with a basket of fries and the ‘shack made’ lemonade which is absolutely delicious! The burger was a bit smaller than I expected but was really tasty, the bread in particular was gorgeous!
The fries- well I could have eaten 12 baskets of them they are soooo good! I got them plain but my Dad got the cheese topping which I tasted and really liked too! I like that they don’t take reservations, you go up to the counter and order, get given a little device that vibrates when your food is ready and then pick it up from the hole in the wall. You can also sit anywhere and we sat outside listening to the opera singers and soak in the atmosphere. I’m a Londoner but I never ever get tired of Covent Garden, it’s my most favourite place in the City!
