So I should say this is actually my second 217 brush, nothing has happened to my first one but I sometimes like to blend dark shadows and then use the 217 for lighter shadows and find it easier to just have two of them! The 217 is an iconic MAC brush and I have to say it is my favourite brush to use for eye makeup. Simply put it gives you a professional finish and can make even less pigmented eyeshadows look gorgeous. A lot of people use this as a blending brush only, personally I love it for blending and smoking out a darker shadow BUT I also love this for an everyday eyeshadow brush. It is nice and soft with fine but densely packed bristles which makes it really easy to apply as much or as little product as you’d like. I really can’t rave about it enough, especially if your looking for a brush to achieve the outer v smokey eye, this has totally fool proofed my attempts at it! It doesn’t come cheap but I would highly recommend this brush if your looking to invest in some new makeup tools.
