Stila In The Light Eye Shadow Palette

I have been looking for a good neutral palette to take away with me and quite a few of you recommended the Stila ‘In The Light’ palette. I have been dying to try the shade ‘kitten’ forever and as this palette included it I knew it had to be mine! A mixture of 10 neutral tones, some shimmer based and some matte this palette also included a waterproof smudge stick in damsel which is a very dark brown. Pay off wise the shades are all very creamy (with perhaps the exception of the lightest and darkest matt shades which I personally found a little chalky. Kitten is clearly the standout shade, a creamy champagne/gold which blends like a dream and just works perfectly with every other shade.

That being said there are a few other shades in the palette that are pretty special too, ‘Sunset’ and ‘Gilded Gold’ are two shades I find myself reaching for nearly everyday. The palette costs £25 which I think it very reasonable when compared with filling a MAC eyeshadow palette. It is also worth noting the single eye shadows are £12 from Stila so for the cost of around two single ones your getting 8 extra shades and an eyeliner. The eyeliner is really gorgeous too, I like to use it to line the upper and lower lashline for a more flattering finish than when using a black liner. Overall I am loving this palette and can definitely see myself picking up another one from Stila!
