John Frieda ‘Root Booster’ Blow Dry Lotion £5.89
Hi girlies, sorry I have been a bit M.I.A, I have come down with a terrible flu so I am sitting here feeling very sorry for myself! If you have any flu remedies for me then be sure to let me know! Today I wanted to share this fab product from John Frieda with you. Now I personally have quite fine, straight hair but I have a lot of it, this basically means volume just doesn’t come naturally to me and by the end of the day my hair is as flat as a pancake! I was sent some products from the John Frieda ‘Luxurious Volume’ range to try out and one of the products in the range is this Root Booster blow dry lotion.

Now I have never got on with ‘root boosters’ or ‘blow dry lotions’ because I find they leave a sort of sticky residue in my hair and end up giving me a knotty unruly mane. Nevertheless I have been using this one everyday for the past few weeks and  I was very pleasantly surprised! It has a really good nozzle which gives a fine even mist of product all over the roots. I section my hair and apply it wherever I struggle to find volume at the roots and then blow dry as normal. I have to say this little bottle is a total miracle worker, it just boosts my usually limp hair and gives me the sort of volume I usually only get at the hairdressers. It also leaves no residue or sticky feeling at the roots and my hair feels soft and easy to manage. On top of that the volume stays all day which is a big thing for me as I find sometimes ‘root boosters’ start to disappear after a long humid or windy day.

I think if I had seen this in store I might have walked passed it, the bottle is really small and maybe a tad uninspiring (I am quite easily swayed by pretty packaging!) but I would have been missing out, this is hands down the best root boosting blow dry lotion I have ever tried, in fact I have already purchased a back up one for my holiday in August! Do you have fine hair too? What products do you like to use for volume?
