MAC Archie’s Girls Pearlmatte Face Powder: Flatter Me

13/03/2013 · beauty · 0

MAC Archie’s Girls Pearlmatte Face Powder £21.50
Hi girlies, I was a bit naughty and purchased a couple of bits from MAC over the weekend! My local MAC concession is in Canterbury and the girls working there are so helpful and lovely, I originally went in for MSF Soft and Gentle but it was sold out, I also wanted to have a look at the Archie’s Girls collection which has been rolled out nationwide after it’s ‘exclusive online and in Selfridges’ stint. I was really disappointed with the blushers in the collection but I have to say I liked the lipsticks alot (I can see me going back for a few shades). I also really liked the look of this face powder in ‘Flatter Me’ which is a golden peach powder with coral hearts and decided to get that and a lipstick which I’ll review later in the week.
MAC Product Description
“Love is in the details with all-new Pearlmatte Face Powder combining pearlized and satin shades to achieve an array of looks. Hearts are adorably stamped onto the base. Effortlessly blends with a rich and creamy texture. Use for highlighting and blush effects or as an Eye Shadow with a velvet-smooth finish. Limited-edition Archie’s Girls packaging.”
This face powder really is just beautiful with the little coral hearts making it that extra bit special (I am a sucker for cute packaging.) When blended together you get a perfect coral toned blush which has a slight sheen to it, I prefer this sort of finish as I don’t like shiny or sparkly face powders. The powder itself is very silky and I was surprised that it didn’t have a lot of fall out I think it works beautifully as both a coral toned blush and a sort of bronzer for pale girlies, most bronzers look a tad orange on me but this gives my complexion a lovely glow. I would definitely recommend you having a swatch instore, for me this powder was the standout product from the Archie’s Girls collection. Just for reference the MAC mua who served me had the pink version of the Pearlmatte face powder on which is ‘Veronica’s Blush’. She had blonde hair and quite tanned skin and it looked really gorgeous on her, it is slightly more like a highlighter/bright blush than the ‘Flatter Me’ shade!
Have you picked up anything from the Archie’s Girls collection for MAC?
* I apologize for my chapped lips, I have been slathering on lipbalm but I’m afraid the cold weather has left them dry and horrible!
