Valentines Day Makeup Look

09/02/2013 · beauty · 0

Hi girlies! Valentines day is upon us and I thought it might be nice to show you a very simple look for the day. I really like doing tutorials as it gives me the chance to try out lots of different looks! For this one I focused on a creamy base (using Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation). I applied the foundation with my fingers as I prefer a natural finish for this particular look. After applying my base I buffed in a loose powder (I used Look Beauty’s Stay Put Powder in Translucent). I then took a large eyeshadow brush and buffed in a nude shimmer all over the lid and up to the brow bone. The shade I used was from the Sleek Au Natural Palette but you can use any neutral/champagne shade you have to hand! I then curled my lashes with the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers before applying a brightening mascara, I used the Max Factor tonal mascara for blue eyes which gives a lovely wide eyed look. I then used my Real Techniques blusher brush and swept the Look Beauty Blusher in ‘Pinch’ across my cheek bones, I only applied a very light amount of blush as it’s more about enhancing your natural blush for this look! I then filled in my brows with a matt dark brown shade from the Sleek Au Natural Palette, I like quite strong brows and they really work nicely for this look! Finally I applied the eyeliner (I used the Look Beauty Flirty Flick in Black), I like to do this last and I really take my time applying it for an even look. I drew a thin line which I made thicker at the corner lashes, I finished with a flick to make my eyes look bigger. Once dried I then applied another coat of mascara and finished with a slick of Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling.

What do you think of this look for Valentines day?
Do you have any request for different makeup tutorials?
Let me know, oh and…..
