Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer

17/01/2013 · beauty · 0

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer £5.49
I actually picked this up when I was staying in London and realised I had forgotten to bring any concealer with me! I can’t tell you the panic I had, especially as my usual concealer is Estee Lauder DoubleWear and I really didn’t want to buy a new one when I had a near on new one at home. I popped into Boots and they had this particular one from Rimmel on offer for just £3 (this offer is now finished sorry!). I actually use and rave about the Wake Me Up foundation so I thought I would give the matching concealer a try. It is marketed as being an ‘anti fatigue and radiant glow’ concealer. I would say it does a fairly decent job at living up to this, the product itself is thick without being cakey, easy to blend and it leaves an illuminating finish which definitely distracts and conceals dark circles! I wouldn’t go as far as to say I would replace my Estee Lauder Double Wear with it, but this has become a regular staple in my daily makeup routine. I love applying it just under the eyes and on the eyelid, it seems to make me look fresh faced. I have found it works particularly well with its namesake foundation, the 2 of them together just about make my face normal after a late night! I wouldn’t recommend it for blemishes though, I found that it doesn’t really cover them too well and actually the illuminating quality of the concealer means they are somehow more noticable with it on :S I would say if your suffering with bags/dark circles then definitely give this one a try, if your after a good concealer for blemishes then maybe look elsewhere!
