Poundland Bargains: Sally Hansen Pastels

I have spoken before about my total love for Poundland, I don’t get the snob factor about shopping there and often pick up stationary and beauty bits for half the price of high street stores. I popped in because we needed some poly-filler (a slight ‘moving the wardrobe’ mishap resulted in a hole in the wall, not great when your selling your house!), anyway I went to the little beauty section and there was a few girls hanging around so I pretended to look at something else…am I the only person that does that?! When they were finished I noticed there were lots of new nail polishes on display from Sally Hansen. I picked up:

Now I have shown you some of the jewel colours from the INSTA-DRI collection before and I loved the finish and quality of those shades, Petal Pusher was a little more sheer and I would describe it as a pinky nude. I needed three coats for a totally opaque finish but the polish was just beautiful and will be perfect with a tan. I picked up the complete salon manicure in yellow kitty as I have been after a pastel yellow polish for ages and this one is just right. It is a creamy buttery yellow rather than a neon or stark yellow which I was trying to avoid, I only needed 2 coats for this to be totally opaque and I was really pleased with the finish. The Compelte Salon Manicure polishes are similar to the gelly hi shine nail polishes from Barry M. I noticed on the Boots website they are now £2 but in my local Boots they are £5.99 each so if your after a broad range of colours then check the website out and save some pennies!

Overall I am thrilled with my purchases, nail polishes are a great way of embracing new trends and adding a pop of colour to an outfit and at just £1 I think I will be heading back for some more colours!
