Christmas Gift Guide #1 Jewellery

31/10/2012 · beauty · 0

Last year I put together some Christmas gift planning guides and got such a good response I thought I would do the same thing this year! I am quite lucky in the sense that I have a very sweet and generous family who always buy the most amazing and sentimental gifts. I think that is the real pleasure of gift giving, getting something someone will treasure forever. That’s why I got my mum a gorgeous Pandora necklace for her birthday in August, it’s something classic that I know she will treasure and was a bit more ‘grown up’ then picking out a bit of costume jewellery. As a brand Pandora are one of my favourites and they always feature beautiful, interesting pieces which I think sets them apart from other brands. One thing I especially love is their charm bracelets. When I was younger I was given a charm bracelet by my dad and whenever a big life event takes place he buys me a charm to remember it by. I think it is by far my most treasured possession and such a beautiful tradition to start for someone!
Pandora have such a beautiful range and I thought I would show you some of my favourite pieces from the charm and bracelet collections. Pandora are also the official sponsors for the Girls Aloud 10 year reunion tour and so I was especially excited to see the beautiful bracelets the girls have designed themselves.
Pandora Sterling Silver 5 Clip Bracelet £65
I think for any loved one, the perfect bracelet is the simple Sterling Silver 5 Clip Bracelet. It is intricate enough to be beautiful but simple enough to allow the charms to take centre stage. This is the perfect bracelet for building a collection of beautiful charms with, it is actually very similar to the one I have which as you know is my prized possession!
1. Girls Aloud Ten Nadine Beginner Bracelet. £99, 2. Girls Aloud Ten Sarah. My Design Bracelet £279

I really struggled to pick out my favourite designs because all of the Girls Aloud collection was just so beautiful. I picked the Nadine Bracelet for the fashionista girl, the studded ball detail around the thicker chain is very on trend and I think for a non girly girl this is the perfect piece of jewellery! If however you’re shopping for a girly girl then I don’t think it gets better than this Sarah Bracelet. Pink, sparkly and a very pretty rope design makes this the stand out charm bracelet in my book, I am very tempted to get this for my Cousin!

Pandora Flower Bracelet £99
I knew as soon as I saw this that my Mum would just love it. Intricately detailed with a simple elegance, this bracelet is just perfect for Mum’s this Christmas. I think it is just beautiful and every time I see it I think of her now so I think I may buy this for her (I hope she isn’t reading this!)

(top to bottom: Heart Lock and Key charm £350, Christmas Stocking charm £25, Koala Charm £40, Christmas Tree Charm £65, Love Bouquet Charm £40, Forever Together Charm £30)
I picked these charms out because they all have a beautiful story to tell. The lock and key would be perfect for your first Christmas with a loved one, the Stocking to remember your babies first Christmas and the Koala reminded me of my friend who just came back from travelling, I think it would mean a lot to her to have that reminder of her year abroad. I thought the little Christmas tree would be a lovely way of marking a first Christmas as Husband and Wife. The flowers were something I would definitely pick out for my Mum, how adorable is this charm?! Lastly a ‘forever together’ charm, as soon as I saw this I showed my Dad and he said he would love to get it for my Mum which I thought was terribly sweet of him! These are just a small selection of the different charms available and I could have picked lots more but I thought I would show you the ones I would choose!
