Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters (inc some U.S only shades)

03/04/2012 · beauty · 0

Hi girlies!!

This post took me a bit longer to put together as I wanted to include some of the U.S only shades that weren’t launched over here. In the UK they cost £7.99 (available from Boots) and we have the following colours:

1. Pink Truffle
2. Sugar Frosting
3. Raspberry Pie
4. Tutti Frutti
5. Peach Parfait
6. Candy Apple
7. Macaroon
8. Berry Smoothie
9. Cupcake
10. Strawberry Shortcake
11. Lollipop
12. Sweet Tart
13. Creme Brulee
14. Cotton Candy

In the U.S they cost $7.49 each (available here) and they have a few extra shades including:

Brown Sugar
Red Velvet
Gumdrop
Creamsicle
Cherry Tart
Sugar Plum
Fig Jam

I picked my favourite from both U.K and U.S stock and I have to admit, I liked every single one! There have been a few bloggers who have bitched about the pigment not being very strong but I completely disagree and felt they combined the pigment of lipsticks and a really good quality lipbalm. Certainly every time I have worn a colour out I have felt like I am wearing a lipstick and the colours are all very distinctive. I really suffer with dry lips and having just been unwell I have suffered with some cuts and flaky skin on my lips (gross I know!!) but wearing these has allowed me to cover the cuts and also kept my lips well moisturised, so much so that the cuts and dry skin has now disappeared!

I would 100% recommend these if like me you don’t always enjoy wearing a lipstick, maybe you sometimes find them a little drying for you or a little too shiny or even too matte. They are very moisturising and have a great range of colours so you will be sure to find a few you love. I know I have!!

Here are some swatches of my collection:

Pink Truffle:

Brown Sugar:

Berry Smoothie:

Macaroon:

Raspberry Pie:

Red Velvet:

Fig Jam:

Peach Parfait:

Gumdrop:

Cherry Tart:

Sugar Plum:

What do you think of these shades? I am really happy with my collection and have a few I got extra for a giveaway soon if your interested!!

Let me know what you think!!

Charlotte

I really like Raspberry Pie and Gumdrop. I’m surprised how highly pigmented some of them are! I have Cotton Candy and Peach Parfait, I’m posting about Peach Parfait tomorrow.
I hope you’re feeling better now. xx
