I have been on such a major splurge when it comes to makeup I am actually ashamed of myself! I used two of the 5 (YES FIVE) blushers I purchased from Illamasqua (post coming soon!). Firstly I lightly applied Sob a cream blusher and then I topped it with a dusting of Nymph a powder blusher for a fresh faced look!
My first oufit of the day post….be gentle with me!!
Hi girlies!!
Now that the sun is shining I am literally skipping around with a big smile on my face, seriously even washing up seems easier when your looking out of the window at blossom trees and butterflies (this is what I see out of my kitchen window, and one of the benefits of living in the beautiful countryside in Kent).
Today I went to meet my brother and my little nephew in Canterbury for a coffee and also to go into Hotel Chocolat to collect my winnings from their Facebook game (I am sure loads of you won things, let me know what you got, I managed a happy egg, eggletts basket and an egg sandwich). I gave my winnings to my nephew as he knows just how to twist me around his little finger, he is going to be a huge heartbreaker when he gets older!
I wanted something cool but layered to wear as the weather is hot but quite chilly in the shade! So I wore this:
This cardi is my new favourite thing! It is the perfect knit because it has no itch factor (itchy cardigans are a major cause of rage for me!!) and it has that sort of hand knitted look so it can be stretched out to be proper boyfriend baggy but then when you wash it, it just shrinks back to size. It is also thick enough to keep the chill out but the way it’s been woven together means it keeps you cool as well π
Loving the cute little buttons on the front of this summer dress, I think they just add a little something and make it look a lot more expensive than it actually was (prices at the end!)
I love the print on this dress and the thick chain on the necklace. I usually wear gold but more long charm necklaces but my friend bought me this one for christmas last year and I love the wire detailed heart!!
I love to throw on a pretty scarf and cardigan to just have all my layers there for when the weather gets too chilly!! (well it is England!)
I had to get these earrings as they are lions, and I am a Leo. Seriously that was my logic behind them, and I stand by it. I love anything sort of tacky/kitsch like this!
This bag is from Cyprus. I went to Larnaca for a holiday and absolutely loved it, the girls there have amazing style and literally every street has amazing bag shops and accessory shops. I loved this bag for its unusual style, it is really big so perfect for all my bits and bobs and girly in a lovely pastel lilac, yet in leather and with the studded detailing to the front I think it can toughen an outfit up!!
I love when you clash patterns and textures, I like the mixture of the ditsy floral on the dress and the bold floral on the scarf. I toughened the look up with the leather studded bag π
I love the detail on this scarf! It really stood out to me as you can just wear a plain tee and jeans and put this on and it looks great!!
For this look I made a tinted moisturiser using one pump of the Rimmel wake me up foundation and about a 50p sized amount of my favourite Trilogy Energising Daily Face Lotion. I like to do that when it is warmer as I don’t want to block the sun out with heavy foundations! I used the MUA heaven and earth palette on my eyes in the warmer shades and the applied the Maybelline false lash flared effect mascara.
I think it is really long lasting as I applied it this morning at about 10am and have been out sweating in Canterbury (it is really hot in my defence!!) and I took this pic about 30 minutes ago (note the hair tied back and cool tee replacing the dress!) and the blushers haven’t budged!

Sounds like you had a lovely day, I love the outfit π I won the same as you from Hotel Chocolat, plus the Easter Sleekster box and Signature Collection box which I picked up yesterday (they’re gorge)!
I love any studding detail as well! Yeah I agree it’s sad people are negative for no reason, I don’t have a place in my life for that sort of negativity π xx
Love the clashy prints, I always have some kind of scarf on me/tied to my bag and it rarely matches my outift but you’re right, you sometimes needs the extra layer, even though it’s hardly to actually keep the sun off!
Face looks ultra lovely too, the double blush works a treat! xx
I think those people who crack other are persons who have the necessity to feel good about themselves breaking others so that says more about them than about u or other bloggers. Indeed I have the same thing don’t like wearing the same that others do. but what I love about the bags are the studs I’m a stud fan
Why do you ask to be gentle? there is nothing bad about your outfit. love the bag
love it especially your pendent =) nice post keep it up!
