So these Revlon Liquid Lipsticks seem to have been launched and sort of forgotten about (that or they haven’t had an official UK launch yet?) I actually found mine in Boots at the very bottom of the Revlon display which seems a bit sad for such a good product!
Liquid lipsticks are (as the name suggests) a hybrid of a lipstick and gloss in one, these are a little different to a lot of the ones of the market atm as they set on the lips to a semi-matt finish and then don’t budge…at all…all day! I bought 2 from Boots for £8.99 each but I have since seen they sell them on Fragrance Direct for just £2.99! I picked a nude shade called ‘Iconic Iris’ and a Pinky/Purple shade called ‘Ultimate Orchid’.
Performance wise Ultimate Orchid definitely had the stronger colour payoff of the two, one swipe gave me full coverage and the colour is really beautiful, a cool toned pink with a short of purple, I haven’t seen many shades like this before so I think it’s a little bit special! Iconic Iris is more of a shimmery nude, perfect for the day but also lovely when paired with a smokey eye, the payoff is very good but this colour is more sheer and I found it looks particularly nice when used over a standard lipstick/lipcolour.
Wear time is brilliant, I had these on for 6 hours at a time and they hadn’t budged at all! You can also top them up without them going patchy like some matte liquid lipsticks. All in all I would definitely recommend these- especially at the £2.99 price tag from Fragrance Direct- I’ve already added a few more to my collection!
