Hi girlies, a short (and not so) sweet review today! I have been trialling the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water for just over a month and wanted to share my thoughts with you! It is the first spray on primer water of it’s kind and can be used before makeup to prime the skin, after application to set the makeup and during the day as a refreshing mist. Now on paper this all sounds great but in reality I have to admit I just don’t like it! I really wanted to but I found it made my skin feel a bit dry, it made no difference to my makeup longevity and the spray nozzle didn’t mist the product evenly which was annoying. Now I have to say I am in the minority here, everyone is loving about this and clearly it just didn’t agree with my skin, I’ve heard people rave about the hydration benefits and the way it extends their foundation wear but for me it’s just an expensive water that irritated my skin 🙁
I’d love to know if you used this and liked it or you found it a bit overhyped too?

It’s always quite annoying when everyone raves about something but it just doesn’t work out.. I’m sure it’ll sell pretty quick though. I really wanted to buy it but a lady at boots told me it would not suit me (combination skin)

It’s never fun when you invest in something that’s so hyped up and it ends up being such a letdown! I personally thought this product sounded a bit gimmicky, and I’m glad I read your review before running out and buying it based off of others’ recommendations. Thanks for sharing! x Krista

Makeup sprays are always a bit hit and miss for me too. I went to boots the other day to pick this up and it was out of stock….I think I might give it a miss so perhaps it was a good thing! x
