Everyone likes to know what is in bloggers handbags, but what are the essential items that you should keep in your handbag now? Here are our five favourite items.
Hairbrush
Back in the 90’s having a hairbrush in your bag was essential, but everyone stopped carrying brushes as the styles changed. Now that everyone is choosing to have washed hair with very little styling product in it, brushes are making a comeback. It doesn’t need to be a big brush, a small one will do fine to help keep the knots out of your hair. You could even find a travel brush that collapses. I personally like to carry a small wide tooth comb and a finishing brush (mason pearson for extra shine!)
Sanitiser
We find it hard to believe that at one point we left the house without sanitiser in our handbags. The thought of it seems so alien now! Unfortunately, people are not as hygienic as we would like them to be. All you need to see is someone sneezing in their hand and touching a door handle to understand our paranoia. That is why we like to keep hand sanitiser and anti-bacterial wipes close by. If you can, try and use organic sanitiser and biodegradable wipes to help keep your world clean and eco-friendly.
Purse
Having a purse to carry your money and cards seems obvious but it is the type of purse that is important too. If you have a debit or credit card, there is a chance that it is contactless too. This means that fraudsters have a chance to tap your card with a mobile payment device and steal your money. Make sure your purse has an RFID shield to protect your cards. Having a purse that is big enough to hold everything is important too, especially if you don’t like to bring your handbag with you to buy some milk. A good sized purse that you can slide your phone into as well as your cards is the perfect size.
Portable charger
Having a mobile or working on the go means that you might need a backup power supply. This is especially true if your phone is always beeping with messages and emails. Having a backup power supply is always handy to have. We know a lot of places offer up their electricity points freely, but if you can’t get to one, a power bank can be a life saver. Not only do power banks come in a variety of styles, you can get them with extra ports so you can charge a friend’s phone too.
Spare Masks
Love them or loathe them, face masks have become a necessary accessory. What is surprising is how many people have embraced them as a fashion trend as well as a matter of public safety. If you are out and about all day, you might want to freshen your mask at some point. Having a few extra masks ready to go can help keep your face cleaner, and update your outfit with different styles. Just remember to take them out at the end of the day and replace them with clean ones
