Adding Style And Substance To Your Rooms Doesn’t Have To Be Difficult

01/06/2021 · charlotte evans · 0

Wall design is probably the most important part of home design. The walls are the largest parts of the house and they also stand out and look good from every corner. Therefore the appropriate design for each room in the house starts with the clever design of the walls of the different rooms. But what if the budget does not allow you to hire an interior designer? If you collect art or collect anything, you may find that you don’t have a lot of space to keep it all. That is why it’s important to get a storage quote. When you have cleared out your space, you can focus on how to use it well and how to choose the artwork depending on each room.

The kitchen

The kitchen is a room with special character. Families who love to cook say that the kitchen is the busiest room in the house. It always has activity and interest and therefore its design should be dynamic and inspiring. You can paint an entire wall in a bright color like orange, or royal blue. You can place a glass cutting board in the centre of the counter top or hang a huge canvas to add character and charm. Adding herbs and potted plants also offers the kitchen a more natural and outdoor feel, if that is what you like.

The living room

If you are tired of the most prominent item in the living room is the TV, you should choose a way to design the walls of this central space in a way that reflects your character and makes you happy. You can opt for a large and comfy buffet, which you can also fill with books and souvenirs and save space. Or perhaps you want to add some wall art that covers the entire wall; this in itself can look like an impressive focal point. You can choose landscape images, or a pleasing print and it can be a collage of small family photos, printed on canvas, or any style that you like.

The master bedroom

This is a room that must be designed with sensitivity and in mind the atmosphere that will be created in it. It is your haven, so adapting it to the shades you like and textures, will work well. You can add artwork above the bed to offer a feature wall or you can look at adding some textures such as blankets, blinds, or a fancy stool to add a little fashionable touch!

The nursery

Here you can really make a spectacle. The wisdom is to choose from the inner world of the children what they like and find a design element that will reflect this. It can be a light fixture designed to look like a flower, a cartoon character or something that they love. It can be a poster of the children’s favourite characters from books, or from the TV. These can be framed paintings that they have drawn themselves, arranged in a beautiful frame and add to the decoration of the room and enhance the wall.
