I picked up a few bits when I was in London a little while ago and I thought I would show you this H&M beauty haul first. If you didn’t already know H&M launched an extensive beauty collection a few years ago and have been adding to it ever since, it’s now become quite a big collection and I was quite overwhelmed by the choice on offer. I went to the Oxford Circus branch and got lucky as it was very quiet and I could swatch away to my hearts content, the blogger dream! Lets take a second to appreciate the packaging, H&M really put some effort into making these products look and feel high quality. I decide to be quite selective with my choices and picked up:
Eyeshadow Single in Brownie Points £4.99 This is a true warm brown, it does have a slightly (and I mean teeny tiny) red tone to it which makes it beautiful on blue and green eyes, it’s matte in the pan but it seems to have a slight satin sheen to it on the eyes. It blends out so beautifully I find I only need to use this, on it’s own, all over the lid for a beautiful warm smoky eye. I like to run it under my bottom lash line too and it just seems to make my eye colour pop. I’m in love!
Eyeshadow Single in Way Past Midnight £4.99 I couldn’t resist this after swatching it in store. It’s one of the most unusual purple shadows I have ever tried and I don’t have anything like it in my collection. When I swatched it I thought it would just disappear into a glittery mess but it is stunning, a beautiful deep mauve with a subtle shimmer running through it- it looks absolutely gorgeous on the eyes and is the perfect shade for the party season. I’ve actually been patting this over brownie points and it gives it this incredible duo chrome effect. I’ve had so many compliments on this shadow it’s definitely my favourite piece in the haul!
Cream Lipstick in Seashell £7.99 / If I was going by the packaging sticker colour I wouldn’t have bothered to open this lipstick in the store as it looked bright pink on the packaging! It’s a beautiful ‘your lips but better shade’ with really good even coverage. It reminded me a lot of a MAC cremesheen with a little bit more of a hydrating feel to the lips. I loved how it looked, the pink tone perked up my pale complexion with a little pop of colour but it was neutral enough to be very wearable.
Cream Blusher in Sunny Peach / £6.99. I’ve been looking for a neutral toned pink blush for a while (a lot of them have a red tint that doesn’t suit my pink toned skin!) and this shade really stood out to me. It reminds me so much of NARS orgasm, if NARS orgasm didn’t make me look sunburnt(!) it has that beautiful peachy tone with a shot of gold running through it, but the undertone is more yellow. It layers really well so you can go for a little hint of blush or a more dramatic blush look. I was so impressed by the texture too, it has enough ‘stick’ to feel secure but it dries down like a powder so it looks very natural. I’m in love!
Nail Polish in Mauve on Up / £3.99 Finally I picked up one of the many many nail polishes, I wanted a lilac shade but one that was winter appropriate, this shade is lilac with a shot of grey running through it making it a nice ‘all year round’ shade. I found it applied completely opaque with two coats and was really smooth without any streaks. I was pretty impressed to see no chips until about day 6 too. I would definitely pick up a few more of these as the quality was great.
So those are the bits I picked up in my H&M beauty haul, you can shop the H&M beauty range online and I’d definitely recommend checking out the stands if you get a chance too, the shadows in particular are stunning!
