L’oreal Miss Hippie Mascara Review

06/05/2016 · beauty · 0

So I guess it’s customary to start this post with a ‘long time no see’ message as I’ve been away for 2 months! That being said I am feeling quite motivated to blog atm and all the new launches have definitely helped me get my mojo back, so I am gonna get straight back into the swing of things with this L’oreal Miss Hippie Mascara Review!

Here is the official description of the L’oreal Miss Hippie mascara:

“Our mega fuzzy brush with kaleidoscopic bristles coat your lashes, layer by layer, for a feathery lash look. The mega impact formula instantly volumises and thickens the look of your lashes for a festival-ready look. Discover festival-ready lashes with new Miss Hippie Mascara, for feathery mega volume on top and bottom lashes. Turn up the volume with festival ready lashes. Feathery mega volume on top and bottom”l'oreal miss hippie mascara reviewI definitely agree with the brush being mega, it was a lot fuller than I was expecting (I actually assumed this was part of the Miss Manga range so the brush was a surprise as it’s very different to those brushes) The bristles are more natural than the usual plastic bristles and are quite short which is a little bit different to other high street mascaras I’ve seen recently.L'oreal Miss Hippie Mascara(one coat on the left / two coats on the right)

The product itself is not too wet which is great news if you usually suffer with smudging, it dries very quickly and really coats the lashes without weighing them down. I noticed my lashes felt very light and ‘springy’ and didn’t drop at all, even after a very long day. I found the brush got right into the roots and lifted my lashes making them appear really long, I actually have quite full lashes and sometimes they can droop but they stayed lifted all day. I loved how thick it made them look too, I have some sparse areas on my left side as I had some stress hair loss and lost a lot of them, this really evened them out and made me feel a lot more confident about that so I was over the moon!miss hippie mascaraRemoval was easy too, I would say it took maybe an extra 5 seconds to really work my eye makeup remover into the mascara but once it was broken down it came right off. If I’m honest I wasn’t expecting much from this mascara but it blew me away. I absolutely love how full and lifted my lashes look and because it’s quite a dry product I feel like it will be perfect for summer and festivals (hence the name I guess!). It didn’t smudge under my eyes at all, but there is also a waterproof version which would be great for holidays. I would say though, if you like to layer your mascaras, you’d probably find 2 layers would be your limit before things started to look a bit clumpy. This is probably because it does dry so quickly but as you can see from the pictures 2 layers is definitely enough!

The L’oreal Miss Hippie Mascara costs £7.99 and is available in Boots (HERE) and Superdrug (HERE)

Lovely review. I like the way you illustrated the mascara with the pictures.

Hi! I am an Italian girl (sort of an apologize for my bad english hehehe) and I find your review of this mascara really useful! I think we have same type of lashes (the maybelline one you reviewed make me the same bad effect) so I’ll buy this mascara for sure!
