REVLON ULTRA HD LIPSTICKS

Hi girlies and welcome back! Sorry I have been a bit M.I.A but I am feeling lots better and I am excited to share the new Revlon Ultra HD Lipsticks with you today! Here in the U.K there are 14 shades in the Revlon Ultra HD Lipsticks range, I believe there may be more in other countries though (let me know!) and today I wanted to share the 5 I picked up which are:

(left to right)

Rose: A beautiful ‘your lips but better’ pink with a touch of brown

Hibiscus: A true orange, not too bright and with no red

Peony: A yellow toned bubblegum pink

Camilla: A brown/nude shade (would look amazing with MAC Soar)

Sweet Pea: A blue/purple toned hot pink

I picked these 5 because they were the lighter, brighter shades in the range and I am on a bit of a ‘spring makeup’ kick right now! There lipsticks are supposed to have a wax free gel finish which gives better pigmentation and lots of other stuff I didn’t really understand! What I found was they felt very nourishing on the lips, they are very similar to the Revlon Lip Butters in both texture and scent (they smell fruity and amazing) but they have much better coverage. You do need to watch out for dry lips though, I found they clung to dry patches a little (but my lips felt hydrated during and after wearing them!) The pay off is very good and the colour looks so even and beautiful, I was definitely impressed! Because they are so moisturising on the lips, wear time is a bit lower than I would have liked, I topped up after around 2/3 hours- having said that they feel so lovely you don’t mind that at all! The finish is also really lovely, they aren’t as glossy as balms/butters, they look more like a satin finish which wears down to a semi-matte finish.

REVLON ULTRA HD LIPSTICKS REVIEW AND SWATCHESIf you do have dry lips or find brighter colours a bit daunting then I would highly recommend these, they are the perfect hybrid between a balm/butter and a lipstick with the benefits of both. I’ve really been enjoying wearing these and think they will be absolutely perfect for Spring/Summer, my favourite shade is Rose btw but I am already eyeing up some of the other colours I missed…

They cost £7.99 each but are currently in the 3 for 2 deal in Superdrug!

Have you tried the Revlon Ultra HD lipsticks yet?
