The lttle velvet lip pencils from Maybelline never got half the hype they deserved when they launched late last year, a total dupe for the NARS lip pencils with a much better finish and lasting power and a hell of lot cheaper, the colour range is really good too! Today I wanted to share with you my absolute favourite shade ‘Nude Perfection’. When a product has the word ‘perfection’ in it’s title you better hope it’s a winner, and in this case it really is!
This is a warm toned nude, almost a toffee shade, which somehow doesn’t make my pale skin look sickly or too pink, it just seems to boost my skin-tone and gives me a really beautiful but natural finish. I personally wear this as a day shade but it would look amazing with a smoky eye too, it is completely matte and once on it lasts all day on me (even through eating and drinking!) a little gloss or balm over the top does look beautiful too but it does make the lasting power a little less than when it is on it’s own. I think if you are into the whole Kylie Jenner look then this is a must-have, it has the lasting power of a pencil, the shape of a pencil (making it easy to get that overdrawn full lip look) and is as easy to apply as a lipstick, I’m in love!
