Life update and some changes…

27/07/2014 · beauty · 0

Hi girlies! I wanted to do a quick update post as I know I’ve been M.I.A at the minute. Basically we are about to move house and as most of you know preparing for a house move it like a full time job in itself! Blogging has taken a bit of a back seat which sucks because I have really got my blogging mojo back and I just want to sit down and write loads of posts (and not see bubble wrap ever again!)

Life is about to change quite dramatically for me, as a lot of you know I have PTSD and have been documenting my recovery here about twice a year. Recently my recovered has taken a bit of a step back, I’ve been struggling with panic attacks and nightmares a lot more and have a general sense of unease which is quite exhausting! The house move is going to free up a little bit of money for me to pursue blogging full time alongside starting my jewellery shop properly. I am also hoping a fresh start in fresh new surroundings will really inspire me and hopefully you too!

Another major change in my life is my weight loss and healthy eating. Weight is a bit of a tricky subject for me to talk about as my weight problems are intertwined with my historical child abuse experiences. That being said I have decided to take back control of my body and have recently lost a bit of weight that I gained during my ‘darker’ times. I am currently about a size 14/16 and I am hoping to go back to my ‘happy’ size of a 10/12. I wanted to actually start documenting my weight loss and recipes/tips as I go if that’s something you’d be interested in? I think I will need your help a lot as I don’t have the best will power in the world so please be kind and try to encourage me as I go!

I will be investing in a proper laptop and camera soon so hopefully I can start getting my posts and pictures on point. I’m not a materialistic person but I am currently sitting here on a laptop that needs a small little fan pointed at the base AND a cooling tray otherwise it just overheats and then dies, not ideal when 90% of your working day is spent on the thing! I can’t tell you how excited I am for my future now, if you’d told me I’d be feeling like that a year ago I would have never believed it!

I’d love to know what you think about the changes I will be making to myself and the things I’ll be doing here on the blog too so please make sure to leave me a comment! I’d also love to know if there are any posts you’d particularly like to see!

Normal blogging will resume as soon as I’m settled and I will hopefully have a few new posts up in between too!

A new home is always a refreshing change and also a step to move forward! Everything will be ok in the end, I’m sure you already know that! Good luck with your personal goals and your blog, I’d love to see all of those growing in here! 😀

Good luck with moving and your jewellery shop!
I’m trying to eat healthier and lose weight so I’d be interested in any posts you do on that.
