Today I have a bit of a different post for you, I wanted to introduce you to my little cat called Lola. Now Lola is a boy, he is around 2 years old and he came to us in very sad circumstances. We believed that he was a stray but it actually transpired that one of our neighbours owned him and 2 other cats but had abandoned them one night when they moved house. One of them sadly died before I ever ‘met’ him and one of them was so poorly and neglected we had to call the RSPCA to come and get him (we would have kept them both but sadly they are both boys and did not get on at all)
Lola was in such a sorry state when we decided to take him in, he was half starved, covered in fleas and terrified of everything! It took us months to get him to trust us enough to come in the front door, in fact it was so hard getting him to come in we had to put a little box with a hot water bottle wrapped in a blanket outside because it was freezing and he was so little we were scared he’d freeze to death!
It’s well over a year since we’ve had him full time and he is just a different cat now! He loves playing and is always up to some mischief in the garden. He is also partial to a Dreamies (or 20) and as such is slightly more robust then the vet would like but my Mum just remembers him half starved and can’t say no to him! He is a seriously fluffy cat and loves being brushed and cuddled, he spends most evenings curled up on my lap farting contently and snoring VERY loudly!
I’ve never been an animal person and I would NEVER have imagined myself with a cat but Lola just totally stole my heart, I know cats aren’t meant to be loyal and are supposed to be indifferent but he is so soppy and so sweet that I sometimes think he is a dog in disguise! We definitely can’t imagine life without him now and I have to say he makes our house a home (I know I know, cringey stuff!)
I’d love to know about your pets and if you’d like to hear more about Lola’s progress then be sure to let me know!

So fluffy and cute!!! I’m glad he’s doing well now, please have more posts on him!
Before we took our cat, he was abandoned in our garden! After having him for two years, we love him so much and he is so smart, he reacts more like a human sometimes! 🙂

He is so beautiful! Loved reading this.
He’s a beautiful cat, he seems to enjoy posing for the camera! It’s lovely that you were able to take him in 🙂 xx
Awr Lola is such a cutie!
I often find that people who ‘don’t like’ cats have never actually been around one, once they are around them they can’t help but fall in love!
What a horrible thing to happen to him, I hate people who neglect animals 🙁 So nice of you & your family to take him in to a welcoming home. x
