Hi girlies and happy Thursday! Today I wanted to share the new Megawatt lipsticks which have joined the Maybelline ‘Superstay’ lipstick range! I am a massive fan of the superstay lipsticks, they set on the lips and don’t budge all day and the shade range is beautiful!
(l-r: burst of coral, flash of fuchsia, red rays, neon pink)
The shade range for the Megawatt lipsticks seems to be limited to 4 at the moment but hopefully they will add some more shades in the future as these 4 are absolutely beautiful! Flash of Fuschia is the only shimmer toned of the 4, it has a slightly metallic sheen to it which I think would look absolutely beautiful on darker skintones! The other three shades are very similar in finish to a MAC cremesheen but have more of a buttery consistency- quite like he Revlon Lip Butters! The colours are opaque in two swipes (I say two because red rays and flash of fuchsia need two coats to keep them from going a little patchy)
They all feel super moisturising and comfortable on the lips and just like the original superstay lipsticks they feel a bit tacky on the lips at first before setting and then not budging all day! What I liked the most about them is that the shades are truly neon but look really creamy and ‘expensive’ unlike a lot of neons! Oh and Neon Pink is a perfect dupe for MAC’s Candy Yum Yum! I would 100000% recommend these, I think they will be amazing for summer holidays/festivals and I will be stocking up on burst of coral, it swatches orange but looks more like a salmon pink on the lips- beautiful for pale girls!
The Maybelline Superstay Megawatt lipsticks cost £6.99 each and are available here.
what’s your favourite of the 4 shades?
