You might have seen my blog sale tweets over the past week or so, I’ve been having a major clear out of products that I’ve bought but haven’t used or decided weren’t quite right for my skin-tone. Its still going on if you fancy picking up a bargains (link) but today I wanted to show you what I’ve been picking up to try out, yes my logic is if I clear out my make-up drawers I have to replace those products with shiny new ones!
I haven’t done too much shopping, I popped into Topshop and after switching the highlighter sticks a billion times I settled on the shade “Spotlight“ which is a beautiful coral/pink, it looks lovely on it’s own all over the cheeks but it also looks really good along the cheekbones, it gives a sort of sunkissed look for my pale English complexion! I also picked up an eyebrow pencil as my mum has robbed my Anastasia brow whiz! My favourite new buy was this beautiful nail polish in ‘m’ it’s a pinky purple shade which looks very chic on, I’ve not stopped wearing it since I bought it! There is a promotion in store which meant I got a free lip cream so I went for the shade ”Pout” which is a bright true orange, it reminds me of MAC’s Ablaze and it’s a really vibrant shade, perfect for the warmer months!
I also popped into Superdrug who are having a buy one get one half price promotion atm, I picked up two of the new Bourjois velvet liquid lipsticks which I am absolutely loving! They are the lightest and most hard wearing of all the liquid lipsticks I’ve tried so far! I also picked up the new Maybelline mascara which gives seriously massive lashes, I’m hooked! I’ve heard really good things about the Sleek cream blush palettes so I picked up ‘Californ.I.A’ which is a trio of peachy/orange shades, I’ve not tried it yet but it looks really pretty. Finally I got one of the new bleached neon nail polishes from Maybelline, in “Coral Heat ” this shade is quite on trend, muted neons are really big for S/S and this collection has lots of pretty shades to choose from.
So that’s everything! A few new pieces to add a pop of colour to my spring makeup stash and some nice replacements for the bits I’ve sold on! Are there any products you’d like to see a review of in particular? Let me know!
