So first things first: this was an absolute pain in the backside to photograph! The writing on the front makes my eyes go all funny when I look at the pictures! Anyway- photography aside- this is a new release from L’oreal, the ‘Infallible 24H Foundation’ which I believe is replacing the previous Infallible 16H Foundation (but let me know if that’s wrong!) Just who is wearing their foundation for 24 hours at a time I don’t know (although my Mum pondered this seriously and decided it must be Air Stewards, Mums!) but I have been testing this out for the past 2 weeks and have been pretty impressed with it. I will go into more detail below but the best way to describe this is: ‘if Laura Mercier Silk Creme and Estee Lauder DoubleWear had a baby it would be the L’oreal Infallible foundation!
I think the reason this reminds me so much of both Silk Creme and Double Wear is that it is quite a thick, heavy foundation; you really feel like your putting on a heavier base and I know that’s not to everyone’s taste but I actually quite like that! Even though it feels a little heavy it doesn’t look it, in fact it has a very similar (read: luminous) finish to Silk Creme without the ‘clinging to dry patches’ formula! It comes with a pump which I found can pump out a fair bit and as this is quite a heavy base you don’t really need a lot of it!
I would say it has pretty impressive lasting power, I’ve worn it all day for 2 weeks and found that after about 7 hours it does starts to flag, but it can revived with a touch of powder. I should note that I’ve been wearing it without any powder to test how it works on it’s own, I get a bit of an oily t-zone and I found this foundation really helped keep that at bay, I also get some dryness around my nose (lucky me!) but this didn’t make that appear worse at all.
If you are in the market for a good medium-heavy coverage foundation that gives a luminous finish and keeps both oily and dry skin at bay this could be a must have. Side-note: my Dad isn’t massive on compliments (he gets all embarrassed bless him!) but when I had this on and was meeting him for lunch he told me I looked stunningly beautiful; yeah he is my Dad so he kinda has to say that but I’m stockpiling this anyway lol.

I’ve never seen this product before but it sounds really good! I think this would really work for me because I have combination skin a bit like you. So hopefully I’ll try this when it comes to Australia xxx
Ooh this is exciting, L’Oreal Infallible Foundation 16H is my favourite. A little confused as to why they’ve added a few hours wear time yet decreased the price? It’s a good thing anyway! It really does look amazing on you, it’s a winner 😀
This looks really good! I may have to look into it 🙂 Thank you for the review xx

So true.
This is my favorite beside LMs Flawless Fluide, though. Silk Creme I can no longer use, since they took away Soft Ivory, which was my shade. Sad to see it go.
