So I showed you some pictures of the new MAC Divine Night Collection and a few of you wanted to see some swatches of the lipsticks. Now there are 5 shades in the collection but only 2 of them took my fancy, Flair For Finery which is a cool pinky nude and Private Party which is a plum/mauve. First impression wise I was so disappointing with Flair For Finery, it looks much paler in person than online and I thought it would look terrible on…I was wrong!
Flair For Finery is a beautiful pinky nude which looks great if you like cool toned lipsticks. I absolutely love the shade- it is perfect for a smoky eye/pale lip look and has excellent colour payoff. I also loved how moisturizing it felt on the lips without being to slippy (is that a word?) and it has excellent wear-time (around 4/5 hours).
Private Party is a plum/mauve shade that looks very bright (almost like a cranberry shade) in the tube but once applied it has a creamy finish which makes it very flattering on paler skintones. This one had slightly less impressive wear-time (around 3/4 hours) but the colour is a show stopper- truly the most perfect berry shade I’ve ever worn. I am someone who is a bit nervous when it comes to wearing bolder lip colours but this one has converted me, it is so easy to slick on and perfect for A/W! I’m going to be stocking up!
I also found that if you slick on Flair For Finery over Private Party you get the most gorgeous pinky/mauve shade, it is perfect for everyday and I love that you can get 3 lip colours for the price of 2, I think Flair For Finery is pretty good at toning down any shades that are a tad too bright or dark so definitely worth investing in!
