Max Factor Wild Mega Volume Mascara

Hello girlies, firstly let me just say a big thanks for sticking with me through some blog overhaul/design changes. I actually lost a couple of readers which makes me a bit sad but I think in the long run it was worth it because I am really going to be trying to devote a bit more time and effort into getting my blog exactly where I want it to be! Anyway enough with the blog chatter and onto more important matters…Max Factor’s new mascara! I actually knew nothing about this until I saw an ad last month in a magazine, that in itself it quite strange because usually I hear about launches by reading blogs and news online! I checked for ages in my local Boots and Superdrug but actually ended up getting it on my recent trip to London. So what can you expect from the ‘Wild Mega Volume’ Mascara?

The brush has a spiralled body quite similar to a peanut shape, this means it does pick up a fair amount of product which could be a problem if you prefer to build up your mascara! I actually found that it picked up a good even amount of the product and the design is perfect for any outer corner lashes, it doesn’t just coat them in product but it actually lifted and defined them. I built up the mascara with 3 coats and found it was virtually clump proof, I also really liked that it felt quite light on the lashes and that they were flexible even after 3 coats (I hate spiky, clumpy lashes!)

Removal wise I just used a cotton pad soaked in micellar water and it removed the mascara very quickly and easily. Overall this mascara far out performs others at the same price point, for me the only negative was the packaging which I personally thought was a bit tacky- I think it is an attempt to reboot the Max Factor image but I quite like the original packaging! I liked that both the bottle and the wand itself stand up on their own as they have flat bases, I thought that was a really great touch. For £4.99 I have to say I was blown away by the mascara and I would 100% recommend you pick one up! There are some other bits in the collection that I want to try out next, namely the eye pencils which look great, I’ll definitely be picking some up so let me know if you’d like to see a review of them!
