L’oreal Noir Excess Mascara & GIVEAWAY!

I wanted to do a ‘first impressions’ review of a new mascara I have been trying out, the L’oreal Volume Million Lashes Noir Excess. Now I am a big fan of L’oreal mascaras, for me they rival all the ‘high end’ offerings and I have yet to find one that I haven’t enjoyed using- and this one is no exception! What do L’oreal say about the new offering? “Like all Volume Million Lashes mascara Excess noir has an anti-clump wiper, which means no smudge, no clumps. The black pigments together with our biggest millionizer brush creates dramatic black volume look.”

I have to agree with their description, the product itself it quite wet but it dries really quickly which is perfect for me as I always smudge mascara and found the drier formulas aren’t as good throughout the day. It is a really matt black but it doesn’t have that stark quality that some pure black mascaras have, I found it was perfect against my skintone. One coat (shown above) gave me lots of volume, I liked that the wand lifted my lashes too, it also separated them nicely without making them look too sparse.

Now 2 Coats (shown above) were actually a bit of a game changer, my lashes were HUMONGOUS! They had lots of volume and looked like I had falsies on which was great! I liked that even with 2 coats the mascara didn’t clump, I think that’s down to the spaced out bristles on the wand in a sort of coca cola bottle shape which worked really well at picking up every lash.
All in all it’s another mascara winner from L’oreal for me!
