H&M Smoky Eye Shadow Palettes
Ok so following on from my recent H&M beauty buys I also picked up these smoky eye palettes. I was quite excited to try them out as I think the colour range is perfect in both palettes. The packaging isn’t brilliant but I think it looks pretty good and definitely feels sturdy, for £2.99 I can’t complain! BUT the quality of the shadows themselves is pretty rubbish tbh, I wasn’t expecting excellent colour payoff but I actually struggled to get any sort of payoff from the lighter smoky greens which just transferred glitter all over my face! The smoky brown palette was a little better and when I was able to build up the colours I did like the shades quite alot but overall I was so disappointed 🙁
I definitely don’t think MAC have anything to worry about eyeshadow wise! Of all the makeup products on the market eye shadows definitely seem to be the hardest to get right, I think it’s the only makeup product that I am quite fussy about and apart from Look Beauty and Sleek I have yet to find any good high street ones. If you know of any then make sure you leave me a comment to let me know! Oh and obviously I am not including wetnwild palettes as they aren’t easily available here in the UK but lets just say the Comfort Zone palette is my holy grail! Would you like to see a review of it this week? I also have one to giveaway….

These are such nice colours, shame that they don’t work so well though! xxx
