Collection 2000 Cream Puff: Fairy Cake

06/05/2013 · beauty · 0

Hello girlies how have you been enjoying your bank holiday weekend? I hope there have been picnics, beer gardens and seaside adventures aplenty! So I thought I would show you this lip cream I picked up in Boots when I was struggling to find a 3rd item in the 3for2 offer. Boy am I glad I saw this as it is now without a doubt my absolute favourite lip product! I have always been a little shy to wear bold lip colours and tend to gravitate towards coral or pink toned shades which I find flatter my skin tone and bring out my eyes (how corny does that sound!?) This particular shade is called fairy cake and is a true coral which isn’t too pink or orange so I think it would suit most skintones very well. Application wise it goes on like a dream, it is silky to apply yet is has a smooth velvet finish.

What impressed me the most was the colour payoff, as you know by now I have quite pigmented lips and find colours don’t always look the same once I have applied them. I was just blown away by this one, the colour payoff is immense, it has a full coverage that looks exactly the same on the applicator as it does on the lips and feels completely weightless. It lasts an impressively long time too, I wear it pretty much every day and don’t need to reapply until early evening (around 5pm) which is pretty amazing! As you would probably have gathered by now I would 1000000% recommend picking this up next time your in Boots, it really has become my go to lip product and I cannot rave about it enough (although I gave it a pretty good go here!) Oh and as I side note it does have a taste to it which I personally think it like toffee, this makes me very happy.

Collection 2000 Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Creams retail for £2.99 each.

What lip products are you loving at the moment?
Do you have any bright yet flattering lipstick recommendations for me?
