Topshop Makeup Blush Stick ‘Acting Up’ £10

I picked this up in Selfridges when I was in London a few weeks ago and have pretty much been using it everyday since then! This shade is called ‘Acting Up’ and it is described as a pale orange cream blush, I would say a bright coral would be a better description though. It gives fantastic colour pay-off, the formula really reminds me of the Illamasqua cream blushes except they have more of a dewy finish and I would say this has a velvet/power like finish. Like I said the colour pay-off is excellent, so much so that on first swatch I was sure it would be too bright on me but it blended just beautifully.

The final result is a pop of colour that brightens my complexion and is makes my makeup look ‘done’. I have found that a quick dusting of a powder blush over the top (NARS orgasm goes perfectly with it) keeps it in place all day. I don’t need to touch it up, the colour looks almost the same at the end of the day which is excellent. I just swipe the stick along my cheek bones and then buff the blush in with my MAC 128 brush but to be honest it looks just as nice when I blend with my fingers. All in all I was wowed by this blush and I hope Topshop expand the range, at present there is only this shade and ‘Sneakapeek’ which is a bright pink. I would definitely recommend having a look at the new arrivals in the Topshop Makeup section, I cannot wait to get my hands on some of the mascaras!
