Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Hi Definition Mascara Review

Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Hi Definition Mascara £10.50

Thats right another day, another mascara post! This is the latest offering from Soap and Glory who you might not be aware of. Originally just a bath and bodycare range they branched out last year into skincare and then added cosmetics which I for one was very happy about! I am a huge Soap and Glory fan, I think the bath products are gorgeous, I always get a big Christmas giftbox of their stuff and it doesn’t run out until Christmas comes along again. I was a little put off by the £10.50 price tag on this one, I think below £10 is a reasonable price for drugstore branded mascaras, anymore than that and your in the higher end category. The packaging is really lovely, it reminds me of YSL Mascaras in it’s gold heavy tube. I had a look at the brush instore and I thought it looked like it would handle a good amount of product, perfect for volumizing your lashes, but I found on application it picked up far too much product which meant I got clumpy lashes no matter what I did. In the end I used my trusty Japonseque lash seperator brush but for £10.50 I don’t think I should really have too. Maybe I am being a bit picky but this wasn’t my favourite mascara to use, it was hard to work with and I couldn’t build my lashes well with it because the brush just picked up too much product. I did find it very easy to remove and I have to say once I had brushed my lashes through I liked the effect, BUT would I repurchase? Nope. That makes me sad but for £10.50 there definitely is better drugstore alternatives and a few high end ones for not much more!
I am thinking about putting all the mascara pictures and short reviews as a seperate page on my blog so you can see the results of different mascaras shown next to eachother, what do you think?
